Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic MERN Stack Developer Intern to join our development team for a 6-month unpaid internship. This opportunity is ideal for students, recent graduates, or aspiring developers who have a basic understanding of the MERN stack and are eager to gain hands-on experience working on real-world web applications.

As a MERN Stack Developer Intern, you will assist in backend development, REST API creation and integration, database management, and application maintenance under the guidance of experienced developers. You will have the opportunity to work on live projects, enhance your technical skills, and learn industry best practices in full-stack web development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs into the platform.
• Work with MongoDB for database design, queries, and optimization.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate the backend with React.js.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry-standard practices.
• Debug and resolve issues, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Collaborate with the team to define project requirements and timelines.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and backend architecture design.
• Strong experience with MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization.
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and third-party API integrations.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like React.js for basic troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub for version control.
• Understanding of deployment processes on cloud platforms such as AWS, Heroku, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and development practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of WebSocket for real-time communication.
• Experience with GraphQL APIs.
• Basic knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
